We are seeking a Real Estate/Corporate Legal Assistant to provide legal support to assigned attorneys dealing with leases, purchase and sale agreements, financing documentation, lending requirements, closings, and related documentation. Responsibility will include coordination with firm administrative personnel of intake of new clients and new matters for existing clients, conflicts clearance and monthly billing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read and write to skillfully proofread and perform minor editing (e.g., punctuation, grammar, spelling) of routine law office correspondence and legal case matters. Perform non-complex arithmetic calculations when verifying calculations on forms and documents. Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date records and filing. Possess strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively either in person, by phone or e-mail. Extremely well-organized with the ability to handle detailed work with accuracy. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize responsibilities. Team player with a strong desire to contribute to the firm’s success. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent typing skills with a typing speed of 65 words per minute. Excellent proofreading skills. Excellent knowledge of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation usage. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a large law firm setting. Commercial real estate or transactional experience is required. Experience with iManage (electronic document management system) preferred. BENEFITS
