Job Summary The Business Applications Analyst Associate works under the IS Leadership and assumes an active role in delivery of quality technology and information to support, promote, and enhance the organization’s ability for effective decision making, patient care, patient safety, education, and research. The Business Applications Analyst Associate serves as an application specialist who uses expert knowledge, clinical, financial, or information technology experience, and a self-directed approach to develop, establish, and maintain computer application solutions.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a 2‑year college program or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Written and oral communication skills
Ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks
Ability to work successfully in a team environment
Occasional night, weekend, and holiday work
Occasional off‑campus and overnight travel for site visits and training
Customer service or help‑desk experience helpful
Familiar with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Is flexible and innovative – operates with comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s needs and goals
Collaborates with and motivates customers, vendors, and other IT professionals to meet challenges which may include working with limited resources to maximize efficiency and achieve quality outcomes
Is responsible for complex applications and is knowledgeable of software vendor team‑wide applications, projects and initiatives
Has an in‑depth understanding of system integration and takes steps to ensure that other systems and modules will work in harmony with their supported applications
Successfully completes work assignments that are complex, multi‑disciplinary, multi‑application‑oriented, and require new and unique approaches with a varied group of people
Operates under the guidance of Business Applications Analysts, Business Applications Analyst Advanced, and/or Team Leads
Efficiently escalates handling of problems or difficult issues and ensures deadlines are met even when this requires that others be persuaded to reprioritize or undertake a different approach than is normal, as well as any other projects or tasks assigned to the Information Systems Department
