Job Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in new construction shingle roofing, flat roofing, metal roofing, gutter installation and maintenance of existing roofing systems by performing the following duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct reports but indirectly oversees subcontractors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Thorough knowledge of TPO, EPDM, Shingle and Metal Roofing
Thorough knowledge of construction site safety and OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 Certified)
Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
Strong focus on quality installation and exceptional attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communications
Client relationship management
Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting and identification of resources needed
Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a daily basis and hold regular status meetings with company executives and/or affiliated parties
Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
Review and approve all Sub‑contractor’s invoices.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to lift over 100 lbs.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2-3 years related work experience.
Valid fork lift license.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction preferred.
Bilingual is English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 100 pounds at times and repeatedly as needed.
Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction site in various types of weather.
