Job Duties
Inventory Management: Oversee the entire used vehicle inventory, including appraisal, purchasing from auctions and other sources, reconditioning, pricing, and merchandising. Maintain vehicle information and photos for online platforms.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, motivate, and mentor the used vehicle sales team to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals. Conduct regular sales and training meetings to ensure high performance.
Profitability & Budgeting: Forecast sales, manage key expenses, and control preparation costs to ensure the department meets its profitability objectives. Analyze market trends and dealership sales history to make data-driven decisions.
Sales & Customer Service: Assist the sales team in closing deals and resolving customer issues promptly and professionally. Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction and retention.
Operations & Compliance: Direct the daily activities of the department, ensuring proper staffing and that all vehicles are "front-line ready". Stay up-to-date with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding used vehicle sales.
