The Dedicated Officer will be responsible for providing security services to a specific location and site. The officer will be required to travel throughout the property on foot and provide security services as needed. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Reporting and record keeping are integral aspects of security. You may be expected to maintain logs or personal hard copy logs when required.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises to identify unauthorized activity

Monitor entrances, exits, and interior areas

Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and customers

May have to authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors

May be required to log information of daily irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences

Investigate disturbances on property

Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property

Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and evict violators from premises

Report hazards, suspicious behavior concerns to the appropriate contacts

Integrity, reliability, and discretion in handling sensitive information and security matters

Problem solving ability and sound judgment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous security experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Ability to climb stairs and ladders

Ability to operate a motor vehicle
