Technical Customer Support Specialist

$50,057–$52,753 per year

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position within the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI). The role involves user support on CPI’s Learning Management System (LMS) and serves a wide network of state agencies, local government agencies, and over 1,000 provider agencies across NY State. The primary focus of this position is customer service, providing technical assistance and administrative support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Communicate clearly and effectively with customers via email and telephone, providing technical information about CPI’s LMS and services.

Exhibit strong attention to detail, multitasking, and time‑management skills.

Demonstrate active listening, quickly assess user needs, and provide solutions or escalation as necessary.

Maintain strong follow‑through and establish effective relationships with team members, CPI staff, and end users.

Provide assistance and problem‑solving for LMS and website issues, including incident resolution, request processing, database updates, and data entry.

Support learners accessing training and registering for events, and prepare spreadsheets as needed.

Perform administrative duties such as placing storefront orders, processing pay orders, organizing meetings, and other tasks assigned by the Center.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Minimum 1 year of recent customer service experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

1–2 years of experience modifying, editing, or creating basic HTML content.

2–4 years of consistent customer service experience.

Minimum 6 months experience with web‑based meeting platforms such as Zoom, Webex, or Teams.
