Richmond Behavioral Health seeks full‑time Direct Support Professionals (Adult) to perform beginner‑level human support work maintaining client safety, monitoring clients with special needs, coordinating meal preparation and supporting clients in meal intake as needed, facilitating educational groups, supporting clients in learning and using coping skills, performing and assisting clients with laundry duties, encouraging clients to adhere to treatment requirements, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under moderate supervision of the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home Manager.
Essential Functions
Facilitates and leads educational and recreational group activities; engages clients positively.
Monitors and assists clients with activities of daily living—showering, toileting, self‑care, laundry.
Administers medications in accordance with all regulatory bodies.
Performs customer service duties: meets and greets clients upon arrival for treatment; admits clients to the unit by taking inventory of belongings; conducts tours orientation of unit; cleans and maintains bedrooms.
Maintains safety and cleanliness of the unit.
Performs laundry duties for unit and client laundry; assists clients with special needs; prepares and serves meals following a provided menu.
Ability to follow a recipe.
Prepares and maintains required shift documentation.
Completes documentation in accordance with medication administration requirements. Maintains organized programming areas and kitchen.
