Sanford Health is seeking a Full‑Time Physical Therapist for our Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center located at 7220 Mt Rushmore Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702.

Job Summary We are seeking a strategic, communicative, and compassionate physical therapist who will diagnose and treat individuals with conditions that limit their ability to move and work to improve their quality of life by alleviating pain and improving physical function. Your treatment plans will require flexibility, collaboration, out‑of‑the‑box thinking, and problem‑solving to provide the best care and push patients to the highest level of physical function. Lifting and transferring patients and being on your feet daily may be required.
Responsibilities
Plans, organizes and delivers physical therapy programs that help patients recover and improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.
Documents patient information for evaluation.
Educates patients and their families about treatment plans, schedules, and self‑exercise routines for home continuation.
Demonstrates documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meets all regulatory requirements.
Analyzes and records therapeutic progress; recommends necessary adjustments.
Follows guidelines, regulations, standards, and safety procedures in the therapy process.
Qualifications
Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
When applicable, may require a valid driver’s license.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
