Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with infants, children, and adolescents to help them achieve their maximum physical potential through assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention.

Key Responsibilities The Pediatric Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat children with various developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and genetic conditions that affect their movement and function. You'll create individualized treatment plans and work closely with families to help children reach developmental milestones, improve mobility, and enhance their overall quality of life. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and educators to provide comprehensive care. You'll also educate families on home exercise programs and adaptive equipment needs while maintaining detailed documentation of patient progress.

Required Qualifications

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist

CPR certification

Strong knowledge of pediatric development and age-appropriate therapeutic interventions

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy, new grads welcomed as well

Pediatric specialty certification or willingness to pursue

Experience with early intervention services

Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology

Essential Skills The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills with both children and families, patience and creativity in developing engaging treatment activities, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong clinical reasoning, documentation abilities, and a genuine passion for working with children are essential.

Work Environment This position may involve work in clinical settings, homes, and early intervention programs. Physical demands include the ability to lift and transfer patients, demonstrate exercises, and work on the floor or at various heights appropriate for pediatric treatment.
