Substance Use Disorder Therapist/Counselor position

Responsibilities
Skilled in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy
Knowledgeable of supportive resources in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties
Ability to maintain a patient-centered approach
Application of trauma informed care
Current knowledge of drug trends and their effects
Being well organized and adaptive within the work environment

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university, with a Major in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related field, which includes a practicum in a Health or Human Services agency
Certification as an addictions counselor by statewide certification body is also acceptable
One year of experience working with individuals with a substance use disorder is preferred
