At the present time, vacancies exist for
Summer Student Support Specialists
within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU.
These positions are temporary for the duration of the summer ONLY.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related field required
Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and implement daily lessons related to student needs
Provide an engaging environment designed to meet the needs of students
Implement behavior management strategies that are developmentally appropriate
Plan and implement a daily learning schedule that includes:
Physical movement
Social and emotional learning
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) activities
Maintain student attendance and participation data
Program Dates and Hours West Chester School District West Chester Community Center 501 E Miner Street, West Chester, PA 19382
Program Dates: June 22nd - July 16th
Mon - Thurs, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Student Hours - 9:30 am - 2:30 pm) No program on Fridays Training Dates: Week of June 15th (Dates TBD)
Hourly Rate (2025-2026 School Year) Project Band 13: $30.70 - $38.42 per hour
Placement on scale commensurate with years of experience in a relevant position
