Overview
Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) is recruiting a Part Time Job Coach/Job Trainer- ESC to support the Discover Program at our Educational Services Center in Downingtown, PA. The Discover Program provides a comprehensive, work-based learning approach to help high‑school students with disabilities transition from school to adult life. Location
Educational Services Center 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA 19335 Responsibilities
Teach soft skills and employment readiness in community‑based settings through real‑life, hands‑on experiences Identify each student’s interests and strengths Assist students in gaining confidence in their abilities Develop work behaviors, problem‑solving skills, social skills, teamwork, and independence Collect data on 25 attributes and share it with students and the IEP team for skill development and goal planning Schedule
Flexible workdays: 2 or more days per week; up to 26.25 hours per week for full five‑day schedules Work hours: up to 5.25 hours per day during the school day (e.g., 8:30 AM–1 PM) Maximum days per year: 180 (school schedule August–June); summer work may be available Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required Experience with secondary students preferred Experience working with autism/special needs populations strongly preferred Experience with data collection for special education strongly preferred Willingness to work in multiple areas of Chester County Valid driver’s license with no moving violations for the past three years; current motor vehicle record (MVR) check required upon hire Must meet CCIU procedures for transporting students Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances required upon hire Clearance as a MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and the federal government required upon hire Pay
Hourly rate starts at $23.69/hour. Candidates may be eligible for higher pay based on experience with community placements and job‑skill instruction. Employment Details
