to join our

Same Day Surgery Unit

at Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN. This is a great opportunity for an RN who thrives in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment.

Our Same Day Surgery nurses deliver

high‑quality, compassionate care

to patients before and after same‑day procedures, as well as surgeries occurring prior to or during hospital admission. You’ll play a key role in supporting patients and families through

pre‑operative phone calls, in‑person care during their stay, and post‑operative follow‑up calls , providing both emotional support and clear education every step of the way.

With a

high‑turnover, short‑stay patient population , this role is ideal for nurses with strong assessment skills, a collaborative mindset, and the flexibility to adapt to changing situations while working as part of a supportive team.

Schedule This SAU/PACU nursing position will be working casual hours every two weeks on the day/evening shifts. You will need to be within 30 minutes of Princeton, MN.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.

Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.

Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.

Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.

Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership‑based health care.

Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.

Promotes a culture of evidence‑based practice (EBP).

Required Qualifications

MN RN License.

One year recent RN PACU experience (within the last three years).

BLS and ACLS upon hire.

PALS within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

2 years of recent RN PACU experience.

Compensation $41.69 – $69.38 Hourly
