Event Staff Responsibilities The event staff member is the frontline personnel responsible for greeting, engaging, and interacting with all customers attending events. The position requires handling payment transactions via handheld devices and issuing tickets during sporting events, music concerts, political speakers, graduations, circuses, and group gatherings.
Principal Job Duties
Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and great customer service.
Collect parking fees and provide correct change.
Understand and handle different types of parkers (tenants, visitors, employees, administration, etc.).
Understand event surroundings and details to answer questions.
Accurately distribute tickets (proof of purchase) to each customer.
Expedite traffic flow in a timely manner.
Adhere to dress code and be able to work outside in any weather; continuously stand for 3–6 hours.
Follow all safety standards.
Communicate with management, supervisors, and traffic directors.
Prepare and reconcile reports.
Answer customer service questions concerning parking and general inquiries courteously and professionally; refer questions to a supervisor when applicable.
Determine traffic flow during equipment failure or construction periods.
Take direction from managers, supervisors, and emergency responders during emergencies.
Ensure breaks are properly distributed when the manager is not present.
When closing, collect walkie-talkies, vests, and pick up cones.
Communicate with manager before making any decisions.
Ensure all employees perform their expected duties.
