Licensed Master Social Worker (NY HELPS), Buffalo Psychiatric Center, Butler Clinic, P26151 Job location: Buffalo, NY. This position is part of the New York State Office of Mental Health.

Pay Range $74,193.00 per year – $94,121.00 per year (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Duties & Responsibilities

Providing crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning.

Developing treatment plans with individuals and the treatment team; monitoring and evaluating progress; modifying plans as needed.

Determining discharge needs and appropriate community resources.

Establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) registered in New York State (eligible under the NY HELPS program).

OR a permanent competitive or 55‑b/55‑c state service employee with at least one year in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Additional Comments

LMSWs are eligible for shift differential pay: 7% for evening and weekend day shifts, 10% for night shifts.

Background checks required. Maintenance of license and registration is mandatory; failure to do so may result in removal from the position.

Applicants must not be listed as an excluded individual/entity on Federal or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists.

Appointment may require enrolling as a Medicare provider and obtaining an NPI number.
