B Shift M-TH 7:00PM - 5:00 AM
(This posting is for the B shift lab, times are 7:00PM - 5:00 AM Monday - Thursday. 4 ten hour shifts.)
Job Overview Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with scientific operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment.
Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.
Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.
Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications.
Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures.
Provides support to the lead/supervisor when necessary.
Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency.
Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Must follow all client housekeeping policies and procedures.
Must follow all client safety policies and procedures.
Must be able to work overtime as required to meet client business requirements.
Qualifications Minimum Education/Experience
High school with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 3 years laboratory experience, AS degree in a scientific discipline with 2-3 years laboratory experience, or BS degree in a scientific discipline plus 1-2 years laboratory experience.
Basic Skills
Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Strong time management skills required.
Ability to operate independently.
Proficient/Working Skills
Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic.
Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
