Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is seeking Attendant Care Employees (ACE) in Durham and Somersworth, NH. The role involves providing compassionate in‑home support and promoting consumer independence.
Job Details
Flexible schedules: 10‑20 hours a week (set by consumers)
Job type: Per Diem
Salary: $18.00‑$22.00 per hour
Qualifications
LNA license is NOT required
High school diploma is NOT required
Must be 18 years old or older
Must be able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more
Adequate car insurance (if applicable)
Responsibilities
Assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating)
Providing in‑home care
Performing range‑of‑motion exercises
Handling laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, and organization
Assisting with ambulation and transfers
Using mechanical lifting devices (training will be provided)
Assisting with medication reminders
Supporting consumers in the community and running errands
About GSIL GSIL is a statewide non‑profit and New Hampshire’s only Center for Independent Living, offering education, information, advocacy, support, and transition services for people with disabilities and underserved youth. Their mission is to enable independent living through Home Care Services, Community‑Based Disability Supports, and Employment Services, guided by a board and staff led by individuals with disabilities.
Additional Requirements Pass a criminal background check.
