Overview Responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience in a retail pharmacy environment. Handles customer transactions, merchandising, and store operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Base Pay Range $15.00/hr – $17.50/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on the assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, efficient checkout service.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products, resolving issues, and answering questions.
Share customer‑service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Recommend items for sale, trade‑up, or companion items to enhance sales.
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Keep counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed by the store manager or shift leader.
Implement asset‑protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
Assist with separation of food items and stock rotation using FIFO.
Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport, poster print, and other photo‑related services.
Assume web‑pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver to customers).
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, orderly store condition.
Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development Attends training sessions and completes PPLs requested by the Manager or assigned by corporate.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
