Be among the first 25 applicants. This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Kitchen Equipment and Refrigeration Technician to ensure our state-of-the-art kitchens and onsite bakeries operate at peak performance.
In this essential role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment for our 9 million square foot campus. Your expertise will help prevent equipment failures, minimize downtime, and support the seamless operation of our world-class culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial cooking equipment
Install, calibrate, and optimize kitchen ventilation and appliance systems
Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections
Ensure compliance with OSHA, refrigeration, gas, and electrical safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to resolve technical issues
Core Equipment You'll Work On
Refrigeration: Walk-in coolers/freezers, blast chillers, ice machines
Cooking Equipment: Commercial ovens, fryers, steam kettles, tilt skillets
Ventilation & HVAC: Exhaust hoods, rooftop HVAC units, make-up air systems
Dishwashing & Sanitation: High-capacity dishwashers, automated sanitation systems
Qualifications
EPA 608 certification
Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Willingness to relocate to the Madison, WI area
COVID-19 vaccination
Minimum 3 years of experience with:
Commercial kitchen equipment service and repair
Installation and service of cooler/freezer refrigeration systems
Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
Gas-fired equipment and gas piping systems
