Overview LifeScape Specialty Hospital is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the state, providing 24‑hour specialized care to patients ranging from birth to 21 years old who have complex medical needs. Our team of nurses works in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, family‑centered environment.
Our PRN opportunity is 20 hours per month.
Responsibilities
Performs nursing tasks for pediatric patients in both our medically complex and inpatient rehabilitation units.
Completes pediatric assessments, respiratory care, trach care, suctioning, neb treatments, and ventilator use.
Communicates a clear picture of a child’s health and any changes in their status.
Serves as a primary nurse within a specific unit.
Administers medications and enteral feedings.
Promotes health and safety.
Builds relationships with patients and their families.
Requirements Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.
Valid South Dakota RN licensure required.
Prior nursing and/or direct care experience preferred.
