POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for supporting wait staff with water/refilling, bussing, and keeping the flow of plates, glassware, and other service supplies throughout the shift. Running bus tubs to the kitchen and emptying them, then bringing fresh supplies to their proper places upstairs. Bussing and resetting counters and tables for service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare dining room for service by stocking glassware, plates, and utensils at service stations
Clear tables after guests, wipe tables or seats with dampened sanitation cloths
Remove used items including glasses, napkins, and plates, etc. when guests no longer need them
Clean and reset tables and counter seats for service
Complete running side work - bringing fresh supplies from the kitchen to the dining room - glassware, plates, temaki blocks and rests, etc.
Sweep the property as needed
Maintain the cleanliness of the restroom with consistent checks of the space
Maintain a clean front of house and back of house environment
Communicate with team members to provide support for service
Complete tasks as assigned by management
Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
Perform opening and closing sidework checklists for all shifts worked
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Able to speak and understand English
Able to understand basic math
Able to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Able to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
Able to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
Able to go up and down stairs multiple times per shift
Adaptable in fast-paced and challenging work environment
Able to approach their work with a sense of ownership and work with a sense of urgency
Able to work nights, weekends and holidays and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
Able to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
Maintain polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards as outlined by Employee Handbook
Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
Communicate information effectively and efficiently
Maintain general knowledge of the restaurant, location, transportation, management team, etc.
Comply with Company's policies and procedures, as well as city, state and federal laws
Adhere to all HR policies and guidelines
Update knowledge and skills by participating in any further required trainings
Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards; Keep work area clean and organized
Inform Manager on Duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations

Great interpersonal skills
Prior Busser experience or similar entry-level role in a restaurant preferred
Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
