international technology business
to recruit a
Workday Financials Specialist
based in
New York City . This role supports the
ongoing optimization, stabilization, and evolution of Workday Financials , following a successful go-live approximately
two years ago . The business is now focused on improving reporting maturity, financial insight, and system efficiency across a global finance function. This is a permanent opportunity offering a
base salary of around $140,000 plus bonus , with a hybrid working model. As a
hands‑on Workday Financials Specialist , you will take ownership of day‑to‑day Workday Financials configuration and support, while partnering closely with Finance, HR, and IT stakeholders. The role is heavily
Finance‑focused , covering core financial processes and reporting, with
HCM exposure viewed as a bonus rather than a requirement . You will work within a collaborative systems environment, supporting both BAU activity and enhancement initiatives. The role combines operational system support with continuous improvement, requiring someone comfortable working at both a detailed configuration level and in a stakeholder‑facing capacity. Acting as a key link between
Finance and Systems , you will translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions. Responsibilities include maintaining system integrations, resolving functional issues, producing recurring and ad hoc financial reporting, and advising on future enhancements and upgrades. The position offers strong visibility across Finance leadership and the opportunity to shape how Workday is leveraged across the organization.
Requirements
Proven hands‑on experience supporting
Workday Financials , ideally within a global or multi‑entity environment
Strong experience with
FDM
Exposure to core Finance processes including
Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounting, FP&A, and Time & Expense
Experience configuring Workday and supporting end users in a production environment
Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret financial reports and metrics
Experience supporting integrations and downstream systems
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate across technical and non‑technical audiences
Organized, delivery‑focused, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, international organization
Able to work a hybrid working pattern with access to site in NYC (Midtown East)
Beneficial, non‑essential, Experience
Workday certification
Prior exposure to
Adaptive Planning
Experience using
BI or analytics tools
for reporting and insight
Broader Workday knowledge (e.g.
Security or HCM )
