We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) to join our dental team! As an RDAEF, you will play a key role in providing high-quality clinical care and enhancing the patient experience. You’ll perform advanced chairside and restorative duties, assist the dentist during complex procedures, and help ensure our patients feel comfortable and well cared for.

The ideal candidate is a state-licensed RDAEF with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for patient care. If you’re professional, positive, and dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for every patient, we’d love to meet you!

Schedule: Full Time Monday - Friday 9-6, Saturdays as needed

Qualifications

Current Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) license (required)

Graduate of a CODA-accredited RDAEF program

Minimum 2 years of experience as a dental assistant; RDAEF experience preferred

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification

Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and chairside assisting techniques

Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient service skills

Proficiency in dental software and electronic charting systems

Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care

Responsibilities

Welcome patients to the treatment area and ensure their comfort throughout procedures

Review treatment plans and answer patient questions about procedures and aftercare

Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and dental charting accurately

Perform extended functions as permitted under state law, including:

Placing, finishing, and polishing direct restorations

Taking final impressions for crowns, bridges, and removable prosthetics

Cementing crowns, inlays, onlays, and fixed bridges

Performing coronal polishing and sealant application

Adjusting dentures and temporary restorations as directed by the dentist

Maintain strict compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols

Prepare and organize instruments, materials, and equipment for all procedures

Assist the dentist during examinations, surgeries, and restorative treatments

Support front office tasks such as scheduling, charting, and patient follow-up when needed
