The State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is looking for a positive, energetic, and caring Custodial Assistant to provide services as part of an innovative interdisciplinary treatment team to mentally ill forensic clients in a therapeutic setting. Successful candidates will demonstrate compassion and an ability to work in a trauma‑informed and recovery‑based environment.
This first‑level custodian position is accountable for cleaning office or resident areas. The employee works under general supervision and follows instructions as part of a cleaning crew. Tasks include maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools, notifying the supervisor of resupply needs, and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
0–1 year of work experience (substitutions may be allowed).
Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
