About the Role We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of National Account Sales to lead our sales efforts and drive significant growth with commercial accounts across the US. This critical role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for developing and executing our national sales strategy and ensuring we meet and exceed our ambitious sales targets. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on leader and implementor who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building high‑performing sales organizations.

Responsibilities

Lead Sales Strategy and Execution: develop, implement, and refine the national sales strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and in‑market processing capabilities. Create detailed execution plans to achieve sales targets.

National Service Network: develop and grow a network of service provider partnerships across the country that can execute nationally scoped service opportunities in all 50 states.

Performance Reporting: report regularly to leadership on sales progress against targets, key performance indicators, and market trends.

Team Leadership and Development: recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high‑performing national sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and success.

Custom Solutions Development: work closely with clients to understand unique needs and develop tailored, value‑driven solutions.

P&L Management: conduct and contribute to the management of the sales P&L, demonstrating strong understanding of financial drivers.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Sales Leadership: 4+ years of experience leading and managing sales teams, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide them to achieve exceptional results.

Hands‑on Delivery: preference for a hands‑on leadership style, comfortable with direct involvement in sales processes.

Travel: ability to travel 3‑4 days per week to engage with clients, support the sales team, and attend industry events.

P&L Acumen: demonstrated comfort and experience with running or contributing to a P&L.

Custom Solution Creation: proven ability to create and present custom solutions that address specific client challenges.

Preferred Experience

Industry Experience: experience within the waste, recycling, or similar services sectors.

Financial Modeling: comfort with financial modeling and/or business case development.

Value‑Based Deals: experience negotiating and closing value‑based deals.
