Overview
BBB is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to provide temporary, part‑time support to our Accounting and Finance Department. This role will assist with routine accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing, and smooth day‑to‑day operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers and meeting deadlines. This position requires at least 20 hours of work per week, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Enter and verify invoices, expense reports, and vendor information
Support data entry and reconciliation of financial records
Maintain organized digital and/or physical filing systems
Assist with timesheet, billing, or payroll-related data entry
Respond to basic internal and external inquiries related to invoices or payments
Support month‑end close tasks and special projects as assigned
Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with internal procedures
Assist with project‑related cost tracking, consultant invoices, and coordination with project managers
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
1–3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support role preferred
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Skills
Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Deltek, QuickBooks, or similar)
Prior experience in an AEC firm
Familiarity with expense reporting or time‑based billing systems
