HealthRIGHT 360 provides comprehensive, integrated, compassionate care that includes primary medical care, mental health services, and substance use disorder treatment. The MLK Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC) is a program of HealthRIGHT 360 contracted with the Department of Public Health’s Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program. It offers residential Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for up to 99 adults, comprising 33 beds each for judicially involved men, men, and women. The program serves low‑income and Medi‑Cal‑eligible residents of Los Angeles County.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure and maintain a safe and orderly environment for clients, staff, and visitors in compliance with agency and industry standards.
Monitor security cameras, attend building security meetings, and collaborate with service providers and administrative staff.
Remove crowds, debris, and out‑of‑place items to maintain safety.
Direct and deflect traffic, de‑escalate tense situations, and maintain a positive, respectful demeanor during high‑pressure situations.
Encourage cooperation with other service providers to keep an orderly environment.
Maintain appropriate boundaries and adhere to the organization’s code of conduct.
Conduct regular rounds to monitor entrances, exits, offices, common areas, and building perimeters.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and file incident reports as needed.
Maintain client and visitor logs; welcome and assist clients returning from appointments, ensuring sign‑in and checking belongings for contraband.
Welcome visitors, check credentials, ensure sign‑in, and escort them to the supervisor on duty.
Answer and direct calls or messages.
Provide resources and information to clients and guests as needed.
Carry Narcan, recognize signs of overdose, and administer Narcan as necessary.
De‑escalate emotionally charged situations and maintain non‑confrontational behavior during observation and intervention.
Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other funding requirements.
Attend and participate in meetings; complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
Read and respond to messages and emails when appropriate.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Two years of job‑related experience working with the criminal justice population or the community behavioral health system preferred.
Must complete background check and livescan clearance.
Will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
