Job Description The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.

Job Duties

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area and walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Complete training and orientation provided on the job.

Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.

Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions / Skills

Perform basic mathematics accurately and quickly (may use calculator).

Make correct monetary change.

Use verbal, written and telephone skills to take and process orders.

Use motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements; use computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.

Work Conditions Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks; in‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to over 90 °F in some work areas; sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensing: talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Temperaments: perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, manage stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions.

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting; lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying large cans, moving trays, using dollies, navigating stairs or ladders, bending and reaching up to 72 in. while working.

Additional Information Reaching performed continuously; hand tasks require eye‑hand coordination; machinery, tools, equipment and work aids include pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, peel, etc.
