Overview A growing behavioral health program is seeking a full‑time Primary Therapist to provide high‑quality, client‑centered therapeutic services to adolescents and their families. This role is ideal for clinicians who are dedicated, compassionate, and skilled in supporting teens through behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges. The position includes full clinical support and collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct individual and family therapy sessions based on level of care.

Facilitate group therapy, including multi‑family and alumni groups.

Complete clinical assessments, safety assessments, and crisis interventions as needed.

Manage behavioral challenges and respond effectively to crisis situations.

Review incoming clinical materials such as assessments, psychological testing, and discharge summaries prior to initial sessions.

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in alignment with regulatory and quality standards.

Coordinate treatment planning, utilization review, care transitions, and discharge planning.

Communicate critical clinical and safety updates to the treatment team.

Maintain communication with referral sources and outpatient providers, including initial contact within 72 hours of admission.

Maintain client confidentiality, ethics, and professional boundaries at all times.

Perform additional clinical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

Active or associate‑level California BBS licensure: ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC, LPCC, PsyD (required).

Clinicians not independently licensed must work under an approved supervisor.

Experience working with adolescents/teens (required).

Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (required).

2–5 years of clinical experience preferred.

Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and crisis management ability.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer platforms.

Compensation

0–600 hours: $31/hour

601–1,200 hours: $32/hour

1,201–1,800 hours: $33/hour

1,801–2,400 hours: $34/hour

2,401–3,000 hours: $35/hour

Additional Requirements

Valid driver's license and eligibility for agency insurance.

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.
