Clinical/HC Research Associate - ICTS - Coordinator Core

As a Clinical / Health Care Research Nurse in the ICTS – Coordinator Core, you will play a key role in designing, planning, promoting, and controlling clinical research trials, coordinating data processing and analysis, and maintaining regulatory, data, and budget documents. Responsibilities
Screen patient for study eligibility and obtain consent for clinical trials. Educate patients on the scope of the study, potential risks and benefits, alternatives, and requirements. Assist in the design, development, execution, administration, and maintenance of protocols and clinical studies. Provide input into descriptions of complex research procedures. Screen, recruit, enroll, and obtain informed consent for clinical research activities. Oversee recruitment of subjects and scheduling of trial‑related procedures. Participate in data collection and entry into clinical research trial data systems. Participate in the design, development and testing of clinical research trial data systems. Manage and organize regulatory documents and prepare regulatory submissions. Mentor new students and staff under direction. here . Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or equivalent education and experience. Current license to practice nursing in Iowa required by date of hire. Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience or 1 year of clinical research experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with patients/families and interdisciplinary team members. Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Ability to work flexible hours including nights, evenings, and weekends as needed by the research protocol. General computer skills. Desirable Qualifications
Strong clinical practice skills with recent work in a clinical practice area. Experience caring for Otolaryngology patients. Experience with cell therapy and/or chemotherapy infusions. Certification in ACLS. Experience in processing research regulatory documents and budget preparation. Experience developing education and orientation materials. Ability to adapt to frequently changing duties and work environment. Ability to work independently. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Application Process
