Carolina Periodontics is adding to the hygiene team due to growth of the practice and is seeking a **Part Time Dental Hygienist** in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Eligible for Sign on Bonus!
Periodontics and implantology with a focus on personalized, gentle and comprehensive patient care.
The practice values a collaborative, family‑like environment where all team members care for one another.
Work schedule: 2 days per week, ideally Monday and Wednesday, with possible flexibility.
Hours: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm with a one‑hour lunch.
(First patient appointment starts at 8:00 am; team huddle at 7:45 am; hygienists arrive 7:30 am to prep.)

Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
Screen patients and provide quality care during check‑ups
Educate patients in oral hygiene technique and work with patients on their oral hygiene care
Review patient history and chart
Administer prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
Document areas of existing restorations
Use of X‑ray
Support the dentist with procedures as needed
Qualifications
Licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the state of North Carolina
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient‑focused approach
Current BLS/CPR certifications
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
1 or more years of RDH clinical experience preferred – new grads are welcome to apply!
Knowledgeable about perio health, comfortable with patient education, and competent with gum therapy
Experience with dental practice software
Seeking a new team collaborator that is open, positive and flexible
Local Anesthesia certification or willing to obtain one
