Short Description Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient‑related items to their destinations enabling technologists, nursing and physicians to perform their duties in an effective manner. Maintain inventory levels of supplies and organize stock so that it’s properly maintained to avoid loss during daily operations or expiration. Clean assigned work areas and related equipment. Assist medical, technical, and clerical staff to prepare patients and patient rooms for procedures. Collect and deposit soiled laundry appropriately to ensure proper sanitation standards and cleaning of work areas. Provide the highest level of patient satisfaction by promptly and courteously responding to the needs and requests of our patients, visitors, and staff. Respond with clear, accurate information; provide assistance to patients and their families. Acts as a positive role model and team player demonstrating Hospital Mission and Core Values and adheres to policies, procedures and standards established by Hospital, Department and Regulatory Agencies.
Experience Required
Preferred previous patient care
Computer literate
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Education Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
License/Certification Requirements
Must obtain the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification during department orientation if not certified prior to hire.
Special Requirements
Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
Service/Quality focused to meet a wide range of needs.
Able to navigate to/from various locations throughout the facility.
Problem solver that can think quickly in cases of emergencies or unusual situations.
Able to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
Displays neat, professional appearance with a smile.
Physical ability to withstand frequent to prolonged walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients.
