Base pay range $19.00/hr - $19.50/hr

Position Description We are seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Nashville, TN branch. The ideal candidate has

forklift experience

(this is not a forklift‑only role), can work Monday–Friday from approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is willing/able to work overtime as needed. This full‑time position comes with a

Company Description Conklin Metal Industries is a distributor of sheet metal, HVAC, and duct‑fabrication supplies. Founded in 1874 and now in its fourth generation as a family‑owned and operated business, we serve the southeastern U.S. through 18 warehouse locations. We support sheet metal contractors, mechanical contractors, duct fabricators, residential and multi‑family new construction contractors, and HVAC service/replacement specialists. As a true one‑stop shop, we supply everything needed to build and install commercial or residential HVAC duct systems—including sheet metal for rectangular or spiral/round duct, plus materials for connecting, fastening, insulating, controlling vibration, directing airflow, providing access, and properly hanging and sealing ductwork. We also stock the widest selection of sheet metal forming machinery in the Southeast.

Job Responsibilities

Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all goods are in excellent condition

Ensure all paperwork is filled out and processed properly.

Ensure Safety Protocols and Procedures are followed and maintain safe storage in all racking.

Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management

Properly pull, stage, pack and load outgoing deliveries and transfers, ensuring product is not damaged in the process.

Load and secure trucks by DOT and Conklin Metal Standards, ensuring safe transportation of goods that does not damage product.

Organize and sort items on shelving, bins, and overhangs according to company standards

Maintain a clean and well‑organized warehouse and workplace.

Qualifications And Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds or more

Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing

Experience working in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse

Experience using a forklift is required and professional forklift certification is preferred

Inventory control experience a plus

Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance

Ability to work a somewhat variable shift based on workload each day.

Ability to work in extreme temperatures based on weather changes.
