Laundry Assistant – Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center
We are hiring full‑time Laundry Assistants to join our dynamic care team. Weekly pay at $16/hour, Monday‑Friday. As a member of our housekeeping team, you perform the day‑to‑day activities of the Laundry Department to ensure the department is clean, safe, and sanitary.
Base Pay $16.00/hr (full time).
Responsibilities
Meet the laundry needs of the facility.
Ensure laundry process completion and delivery of adequate linen levels, in a timely manner.
Assure all laundry machinery and equipment are safe and efficient.
Maintain chemicals in a safe condition at all times.
Remove torn, worn, or soiled linen or clothing from inventory.
Mend and iron as necessary.
Comply with privacy practices and protect residents’ health information.
Other duties assigned by the managerial team.
Qualifications
No education required; on‑the‑job training provided.
Minimum 1 year experience in laundry operations preferred.
The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Independent decision‑making when circumstances warrant.
Tactful interaction with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
Knowledge of laundry practices and regulations for long‑term care facilities.
Willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non‑professional personnel.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and appearance of laundry areas; perform inspections for sanitation, order, and safety.
Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
Ability to seek new methods and incorporate them into laundry practices.
Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition or incident.
