Production Supervisor II Supervisor II, Aggregate Operations (Supervisor) PRD-100-M1a JOB SUMMARY The Production Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for the front-line management of daily operations at a Martin Marietta facility. This position ensures that all production, maintenance, and distribution activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company’s "Guardian Angel" safety culture and "ONE" team values. You will lead a team of hourly employees (typically 8–12 direct reports), fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement while meeting production targets and quality control standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Function as a champion for the Guardian Angel safety program, ensuring that "ZERO" (incidents) is the daily goal for every team member.

Ensure 100% compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and EPA regulations, as well as state and local environmental permits.

Conduct weekly/monthly safety meetings, perform routine site inspections, and oversee "Wingman" safety checks to identify and mitigate hazards immediately.

Document all safety incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions with a high sense of urgency and transparency.

Coordinate daily production schedules and activities to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and output while maintaining strict Quality Control (QC) standards.

Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and implement preventative maintenance (PM) programs for plant and mobile equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, etc.).

Manage the purchase of supplies and equipment in accordance with company policy, focusing on cost reduction and vendor efficiency.

Purchase or direct the purchase of supplies and equipment in accordance with Martin Marietta’s Controllers policies - recommend vendors to reduce costs.

Coordinate staffing with the Plant Manager to operate the plant and coordinate the same needs with labor law compliance and affirmative action with the Human Resource Department properly and safely.

Assist in the development of the annual human resources business plan and ensure continual development of employees through training, cross-training and other development tools.

Generate profit plans, AFEs, market analyses and special reports for the approval of Plant Manager.

Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to production volume, downtime, and operational costs.

Direct, teach, and coach an hourly workforce. Conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend merit increases or progressive discipline when necessary.

Develop and nurture self-directed work teams through cross-training, safety education, and technical skill-building.

Maintain exceptional plant appearance and housekeeping standards to reflect Martin Marietta’s commitment to excellence and community stewardship.

Monitor dust collection systems, water management, and site reclamation efforts to ensure minimal environmental impact.

QUALIFICATIONS Education BS Degree in Mining, Construction Management, or relevant experience.

Work Experience 4+ years in Aggregates, Mining, or Construction Operations

The hiring range for this position is $92,000 -$127,000 exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The hiring range for this role represents the base compensation we expect to pay for the position at time of hire and does not represent the total possible base pay of the position. In addition, this role is eligible for our annual bonus program. Bonuses awarded under this program are determined based on the performance of the organization and the employee.
