Reports To Guest Services Lead, Guest Experience Supervisor, and/or Assistant General Manager
Position Summary The Guest Service Representative (GSR) is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests before and during their stay. The GSR registers guests, issues keys, keeps records of occupied sites, manages reservations, collects payments, and maintains a clean, well‑stocked store.
Specific Duties
Greet and welcome all guests at the front desk in accordance with KOA standards.
Resolve guest concerns and complaints thoughtfully while maintaining campground standards.
Prepare shift check‑list and downtime reports as required.
Answer inquiries about campsite amenities and local attractions.
Operate the campground property management system.
Log and deliver messages, packages, and mail promptly and professionally.
Familiarize with all in‑house groups.
Maintain good communication and teamwork with associates and other departments using proper two‑way radio etiquette.
Check guests in and out efficiently and courteously.
Handle cash drawer according to KOA cash and credit card procedures.
Notify management of any pertinent shift information.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness.
Manage store displays, inventory control, and document guest feedback.
Increase revenues through upselling and ancillary income strategies.
Ensure health and safety standards for guests and team members.
Foster an employee‑involved, morale‑driven work environment that delivers KOA culture, mission, values and goals.
Expected Results
Demonstrate a positive attitude toward guests, management, team members and vendors.
Maintain arrivals, departures and campground census reports consistently.
Handle reservations with attention to detail.
Promote ancillary revenue streams.
Meet Quality Assurance standards.
Job Qualifications
Speak and understand English fluently.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills; able to manage confrontation.
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Motivated, goal‑oriented, and results driven.
Maintain confidentiality.
Work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods.
Lift up to 50 pounds; lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly.
Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and move safely over uneven terrain.
Work inside and outdoors in various climates.
