R-95206**Now Hiring a Local CDL Driver in Ketchikan, AK!****Drive Your Career Forward with Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections Company**Are you looking for a **reliable, year-round driving job****Local CDL Driver** in **Ketchikan, AK**!This isn’t just a driving job, it’s a chance to build a long-term career in a supportive, safety-first environment where your work truly matters.** What You’ll Earn*** **Starting pay is $27.00 to $30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)*** **$1,000 hiring bonus** on your first paycheck* **$5,000 worth of stay-on bonus** in your first year of employment (Paid out over the course of a year)* **Regular wage increases** based on performance and experience** Schedule*** Full-time, **Monday–Friday (5x8 schedule)*** Occasional Saturdays as needed* **Home daily – no long hauls or overnights**** What You’ll Do*** Safely operate a garbage truck on local routes* Collect waste and recyclables from homes and businesses* Follow route sheets and work independently with minimal supervision* Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance* Deliver outstanding, courteous customer service every day** What You’ll Need*** A valid **Class B CDL** with air brake endorsement (minimum)* At least **1 year of commercial driving experience*** A **clean driving record*** Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather* Strong communication skills and a positive attitudeAt Alaska Waste, we’re more than a garbage company, we’re a team of essential workers who take pride in what we do.
