POSITION SUMMARY The Unarmed Security is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, employees, visitors, and property. This role involves monitoring the premises, enforcing rules and regulations. reporting suspicious activity and responding to incidents in a calm professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The following description of the job responsibilities and performance expectations are intended to reflect the major responsibilities of the job, but is not intended to describe the minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Surveillance and Patrolling: Upon arrival walk entire property any report and safety concerns or evidence of campers on property the night before. Hourly foot patrols around entire property to identify safety hazards, signs of intrusion , or unauthorized activity.
Access Control: Monitor building entrances to prevent unauthorized access.
Report security breaches or unsafe conditions to Nurse Manager on site
Checks in with Lead MOS and Nurse Manager daily
Respond to incidents such as disturbances or safety hazards. If unable to de-escalate the situation immediately call 911
Provide customer service and assistance to patients, employees, and visitors
Communicate effectively with supervisors, law enforcement, or emergency personnel when needed
Acts in accordance with the vision, mission, and goals of the Center
Assists with other responsibilities of the Center as deemed necessary
Should not be sitting in car, on cell phone or wearing air pods unless on scheduled break

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
Security Guard experience minimum 2 years
Professional Security Officer Program (PSOP) preferred
