Shift Detail MRI service hours are Sunday through Saturday. Typical shifts are 12 to 14 hour shifts starting at 7A & 8A. Typical work week includes 3 shifts/week, 36 to 40 hrs/week per technologist.
Summary Our MRI Technologists perform MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Technologist prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
Qualifications Education
Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree focused in medical imaging, preferably MRI.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
ARRT certification in Radiography OR ARRT MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) required.
