Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Base Pay Range $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
Enter and maintain AP transactions in QuickBooks.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
Monitor AP aging reports and ensure timely payments according to terms.
Assist with month-end close and provide AP reports as needed.
Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of AP experience in a corporate environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ERP systems and invoice automation tools.
Knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting.
