Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk. Company offers a great culture, work, life, balance and benefits!
Base Pay Range $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Responsibilities
Handle daily accounts payable activities, including verifying, coding, and entering vendor invoices and expense data.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of submitted documentation for payables and employee expense reports.
Obtain necessary approvals for invoices and expense reimbursements.
Prepare and process payments in accordance with company policies for vendor bills, expense reports, and cash disbursements.
Match purchase orders with vendor invoices and maintain proper records.
Reconcile accounts payable ledger and vendor statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
Review and validate timesheets and time clock entries before posting.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements related to accounts payable (e.g., W-9 forms, sales tax).
Understand expense classifications and cost center allocations.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Controller.
Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years in AP role or 5 years AP experience).
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounts payable processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
