Staff Accountant
Our client is a consumer products Retailer and Distributor with multiple entities. They are experiencing growth and seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Accounting team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for but not limited to the following duties :
Take on complex internal and external (domestic and international) cash management reporting and processing and assist with forecast and research
Manage complex Accounts Receivable responsibilities, Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Review and establish new customer credit, release and hold orders, Run Aging Reports and perform Soft collections
Process accruals, assist with financial statement support and analysis
Identify and process GL adjusting entries, allocations
Provide insight to improve existing processes and can also develop new processes
Communicate and interact professionally and collaboratively with all levels of the organization including senior management
Provide leadership to other team members and to cross functional colleagues
Looking for someone that can grow beyond the initial role
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance a plus
Staff accountant with recent and / or deep Accounts Receivable background (manufacturing, distribution, big box retailer or industry background managing costs and cash for projects is a very strong plus, but not required)
Previous full cycle A / R and / or accounting experience required
Strong understanding of GAAP
Prior treasury experience a desired plus but not required (wires, ACH’s, check runs, etc.)
Strong Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, SUMIFs, Mid, Left and right text and character functions) and NetSuite experience preferred
Process improvement oriented
Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines consistently
