Essential Duties & Accountabilities
Plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program
in alignment with state and school standards.
Provide individual and group counseling services
to students with academic, social‑emotional and behavioral needs.
Facilitate counseling curriculum lessons
that support social‑emotional learning and positive school climate.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators and community agencies
to mobilize resources and support student success.
Assist in the development of student mental health plans and individualized education plans
and advocate for students at all related team meetings.
Analyze disaggregated data
to inform program effectiveness and student outcomes.
Provide crisis intervention and support
as needed in coordination with the school mental health staff.

Trains and collaborates with staff on positive behavioral supports.
Communicates effectively with students, families, educators and community partners.
Maintains organization, time‑management and documentation skills.
Applies data‑based decision making to improve student and school outcomes.
Requirements
State certification as a school counselor or equivalent credentials.
School counseling experience preferred.
Background check required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Typical duties performed in school and office settings.
Frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds (occasionally 40 pounds).
Flexibility required to perform duties throughout the division.
