The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156‑bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina area. We specialize in psychiatric programs and substance‑abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, serving Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are offered at various levels of care— inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.

Job Responsibilities
Administers patient medications prescribed by physician.
Assists dietary staff in identifying patients on special diets and ensuring compliance with dietary orders.
Completes nursing assessment.
Updates treatment care plans.
Participates in treatment planning: (a) helps identify patients’ problems, needs and strengths; (b) suggests modifications to treatment plan based on observations of patients’ behavior; (c) provides input into discharge planning.
Participates in implementing patients’ treatment plans by:
monitoring patients’ progress;
communicating information regarding patients’ behavior to other members of the treatment team;
maintaining communication with patient, family members and referral sources in the patient’s interest;
facilitating or co‑facilitating didactic groups, community meetings, or drug or alcohol education groups;
encouraging and facilitating patients’ participation in therapeutic activities;
supervising patients to ensure their safety and their involvement in treatment;
providing input during shift report.
Helps maintain the therapeutic milieu on the unit, including, but not limited to, facilitation of community meetings.
Maintains patient, program, department, and related documentation.
Maintains a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients.
Effectively manages psychiatric crisis emergency situations.
Qualifications
ADN or BSN in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required.
CPR training will be provided.
South Carolina registered nurse license with current registration required.
Multi‑state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.
