The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. They collaborate with residents, families, and inter‑disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and uses age‑ and population‑specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting. Responsibilities include caring for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment; coordinating care, conducting resident assessments, providing resident education, and performing various nursing interventions. The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegates tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within job descriptions, skill levels, and competence. They provide support to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolve care and service concerns, operating within the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules of the state. Qualifications
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; or multistate licensure under Nurse Licensure Compact. Maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications. Benefits
