Job Title: Fabrication Technician
Location: Waukesha, WI
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands‑on Fabrication Technician to support the production of high‑quality manufactured products. This role involves operating woodworking machinery, reading blueprints, and fabricating components used across multiple product lines. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools Fabricate products based on blueprints and drawing specifications Use equipment such as miter saws, table saws, routers, drill presses, circular saws, and hand drills Apply profiles and custom cuts to products as required Trim, round, deburr, file, and finish fabricated components Drill and modify products per technical drawings Perform general shop duties including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas Follow all safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses and using machine guards Troubleshoot basic equipment or fabrication issues Collaborate with team members to meet production goals Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions Strong measuring skills, including reading a tape measure Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, whole numbers) Comfort working with power tools and machinery Ability to think critically and solve practical problems Team‑oriented mindset with a strong work ethic Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required 3–6 months of fabrication, woodworking, or manufacturing experience preferred Equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience considered Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands throughout the shift Regularly lift up to 25 lbs Frequently lift up to 50 lbs Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Work Environment
Manufacturing / shop floor environment Regular exposure to moving machinery Occasional exposure to electrical components High noise levels (hearing protection optional but encouraged) Safety‑first culture with required PPE usage Seniority Level
