School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Orange, New Jersey
A full‑time Registered Nurse position is available in a high‑school setting in Orange, NJ, serving a diverse student population throughout the entire school building. This contract role spans a full semester, from ASAP through June 26, 2026, requiring 35 hours per week in an onsite capacity.
Key Qualifications And Experience Include
Current, active Registered Nurse license and certifications in New Jersey
Prior school‑based nursing experience, emphasizing clinical care within a school environment (clinical‑only experience will not be considered)
Ability to manage a high‑school caseload independently
Completion of fingerprinting for both the staffing agency and the school district
Required documentation of tuberculosis screening and a recent physical exam
Flexibility for interviews conducted either in person or through Zoom
Primary Responsibilities Involve
Providing direct nursing care tailored to the health needs of high‑school students
Evaluating and managing acute and chronic health issues in the school setting
Collaborating with staff and families to promote optimal health and attendance
Maintaining accurate health records and ensuring compliance with school health policies
Responding promptly to emergencies and health‑related incidents onsite
Location: Orange, NJ (onsite only)
This role requires a dedicated professional with a commitment to supporting student health and a proven track record in school‑based nursing. Compliance with all health and safety regulations, along with the ability to manage the responsibilities of a full caseload, is essential.
