Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented
Housekeeper
to join our Environmental Services team at our Critical Access Hospital. This position is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff while supporting infection prevention and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, emergency department, clinics, offices, and public areas
Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms following discharge or transfer
Follow infection prevention, isolation, and safety protocols
Properly handle and dispose of waste and biohazard materials
Replenish paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other supplies
Operate housekeeping equipment and maintain cleaning carts
Report safety hazards or maintenance concerns promptly
Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff
Schedule
Full‑time, day shift
Rotating Saturdays and holidays required
Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Dependable, detail‑oriented, and safety‑conscious
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred
Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience, especially in healthcare (not required)
Pay & Benefits
Hourly wage: $16.10 – $21.47, based on experience
Full benefit package available for full‑time and part‑time employees regularly scheduled 24 hours per week or more, including medical, dental, vision, retirement options, paid time off, and more
