Water Resources Lead
Horrocks seeks a Lead Professional Engineer for Water Resources to manage large, multi‑discipline projects in Las Vegas, NV.
Compensation $140,000 - $170,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Lead a project team of engineers, designers, and field personnel in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of water systems.
Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders.
Collaborate with office management and other project managers to share resources.
Assist in proposal preparation, including oral presentations; prepare scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
Interface with clients, including state and local agencies.
Create and troubleshoot challenging engineering and construction issues.
Prepare, review, and approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates.
Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub‑consultants and clients.
Ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
Coordinate design activities to assure installation and operations meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly and concisely.
Perform independent reviews of others’ work, including calculations and drawings.
Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineering License.
8+ years of experience in facilities engineering, design, or construction.
Ability to manage engineering, design, or construction projects.
Proficiency in Civil3D is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D modeling, and related software.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with clients and multi‑discipline teams.
Willingness to work on local projects or in collaboration with other offices.
Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
