Capital Ford of Lillington is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Used Cars Technician to join our automotive service team. The Used Cars Technician will play a crucial role in inspecting, diagnosing, and performing maintenance and repairs on pre‑owned vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service to ensure the reliability and performance of used vehicles.

Automotive Used Cars Technician Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of used vehicles to assess overall condition
Identify and document any mechanical, electrical, or safety issues
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues
Perform comprehensive diagnostics on engine, transmission, brakes, and other vehicle systems
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Perform quality control checks to ensure that repairs meet or exceed industry standards
Other duties assigned
Automotive Used Cars Technician Requirements:
Technical or vocational training in automotive technology is preferred
Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on used vehicle maintenance and repairs
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly desirable
In‑depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
Flexibility to handle a variety of vehicle models
Willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior technicians
Adherence to safety regulations and guidelines
Must pass pre‑employment background screenings
